PLEASE NOTE: Make sure to use the provided guide ropes at all times to prevent damage from gusts of wind. We recommend that the awning is not be used in severe weather conditions to avoid damage to the product. These side awnings are not suitable for high roof vehicles due to the length of the leg poles (210cm).

I recently bought a tent and trail adventure light roof tent and it is excellent! The whole buying experience with Chris was as easy as possible as I was able to go and see the tents in person as Chris opened his showroom on a Saturday morning just for me. The tent itself is very good. Its first outing was a 5 day trip through the highlands of Scotland and it held up to sun, wind, rain and midges with no issues. Really pleased with our awning and the service from Tent & Trail – Thank you! We have it installed on our T5. It was hard to find an awning that works with our pop-top but T&T were able to advise on the fixings we needed to get and install for the awning to be fitted. Yes, our vehicle awnings are designed to handle rain, but it’s crucial to position the awning correctly to ensure water runs off effectively. To prevent heavy rainfall from pooling on the canopy fabric, lower one of the front legs slightly more than the other. This simple adjustment allows rainwater to run off the front side of the awning canopy, protecting it from potential damage caused by pooling.

However, in extreme weather conditions, we highly recommend taking down your awning and packing it away. This precaution helps prevent unnecessary strain or damage to your awning, ensuring it stays in top condition for your next adventure.
